I don’t usually have much positive to say about Government ministries, usually because the bureaucracies waste astounding amounts of money with a shrug. \u00a0I came across these pages recently while doing “do diligence” on some properties up north.<\/p>\n

Kudos to the front line officers at the MNR, not often I can say my money is well spent. \u00a0Now all that needs to happen is the punishment to fit the crime. \u00a0Thats the Politicians not showing any leadership or backbone. \u00a0Possibly some Judges being a little to forgiving, I understand this with an individual, but when a commercial operation is slapped with a fine that’s less than 1% of the value of a contract, well maybe the internal decision makers at the business\u00a0 should also be getting fined as well.<\/p>\n

That said, I can still remember as a teenager being given a $57 fine for having a Pudding Cup tin in Algonquin Park. \u00a0From our campsite into the forest over a hill revealed a logging road, which would put most township roads to shame. \u00a0There was debris scattered everywhere (some toxic), and great stacks of cut trees. \u00a0Where’s the justice in that.<\/p>\n
